We got a puppy!
This is our Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Her name is Sumea Pallo (pronounced Soo-MAY-ah PAWL-lo), but for the most part, we call her Sumi.
While we tried to come up with the right name for her, we simply referred to her as Fuzzball. We knew we wanted a Finnish name to honor Jason’s mom’s side of the family, but none of the family names felt right for our little pup. One evening, Jason typed “Fuzzy Ball” into Google Translate, and the words Sumea Pallo came out.
“That’s it!” I said. “That’s her name!”
